What are the best practices to avoid attempted scams or fraud?
We are seeing an increase in fraud attempts involving the impersonation of Enerfip and fake investment offers. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that any subscription on Enerfip is made exclusively online, from an investor account created on our platform.
All bank transfers are made to a Lemonway account. No transfer to a third-party company, or through any other subscription channel, can be requested.
Thank you for your trust in Enerfip.
If you wish to invest in financial products, be aware that, as in many other areas, scams exist. To better avoid them, learn to recognise them. Find in this section our practical tips to become a savvy Enerfip investor.
How to detect scams?
- Check the domain name of your connection: fr.enerfip.eu, es.enerfip.eu, it.enerfip.eu, nl.enerfip.eu or enerfip.eu. Malicious individuals may contact you by phone or email, asking you to connect via a link other than those listed above. This is a way of redirecting you to a fraudulent website impersonating Enerfip in order to steal your login credentials and connect in your place to upload a fraudulent bank account details (RIB).
- Check that the AMF licence number FP-20222 does indeed correspond to Enerfip on the official website of the Autorité des Marchés Financiers.
- We have no longer been registered with ORIAS since January 2024! If an ORIAS number is presented to you on a platform using our name, it means that a malicious individual has used our former Participatory Investment Advisor number to impersonate us. Turn back immediately!
What should you do if you think you are the victim of a scam?
- Keep all evidence: call numbers, screenshots, proof of transfers
- Inform us
- Report the scam to the authorities (police, gendarmerie, etc.)
Follow the AMF guidelines (Autorité des Marchés Financiers).
A few online security tips
- Protect your password. Set up two-factor authentication. To find out everything about it, read the article 2fa.md. Choose a unique, long, and complex password. Your password must contain at least 8 characters, including at least 1 letter, 1 number, and 1 special character (e.g. #, @, &). By choosing complex and unique passwords for each of your accounts, you reduce the risk of compromising your online security. Change it regularly and never share it with anyone.
- Do not let an intermediary manage your account or make investments on your behalf. If you use an intermediary, verify the accuracy of their ORIAS number.
