The committed event, Enerfip en roue libre 2022, could not be done without including companies from the Occitanie region that share our values. It was therefore obvious to involve them in our event. This is why Décathlon Odysseum and Saint-Jean-de-Védas decided to support us by lending us the numerous sports equipment that will allow us to complete the 300km journey between Toulouse and Montpellier. It's also thanks to them that we'll be able to let you win a bike on Saturday!
What is Enerfip en roue libre?
We've all visited a Decathlon store to buy equipment, whether you're a beginner or an advanced athlete, alone or with your family.
A major brand in the sports world, Decathlon has been catering to both amateurs and professionals since 1976. From the creation of sports products to their distribution, the brand is now a must-have on the market, with prices to suit all budgets and all practices.
Decathlon is also committed to reducing its impact on the climate and biodiversity through actions carried out across its entire value chain, from product design to end-of-life.
How is this commitment reflected? The brand is taking action, in particular, through various energy transition initiatives – for example, by purchasing electricity produced by a solar power plant – and ecological transition initiatives.
Decathlon started from the observation that some of the equipment we buy ends up in the closet, unused or even thrown away. To ensure that this equipment – which is still usable – no longer causes pollution, Decathlon created Trocathlon.
Initiated in 1986, Trocathlon is based on the principle of extending the lifespan of equipment, also known as Upcycling. Today, it is a flagship event promoting sustainable development, enabling the repair and resale of used products. Its success has been such that Decathlon now wants to develop this concept on a larger scale.
1/ To give your equipment a second life, visit the Decathlon website to find out about future Trocathlon collections in stores near you.
2/ Once at Trocathlon, professionals will appraise your products. They will offer to buy them back either by paying you or in exchange for a voucher.
3/ Once you have purchased your sports equipment, the Decathlon teams will repair it and resell it in-store.
If you would like to find out more, the Trocathlon teams will be present on September 24, 2022, in the stand village. They will be able to answer all your questions, but also repair your bikes!
At Enerfip, we are delighted to welcome Decathlon to our event, and to invite you to discover Trocathlon, a responsible approach that promotes the purchase of second-hand products.
Another good reason to come to the Réservoir on September 24, 2022! At Enerfip, we're also "in great shape," and you?
