My first steps on Enerfip or how to invest in a project?

What is impact investing?

The AMF (Autorité des Marchés Financiers) defines impact investing as “investing in companies, often unlisted, that seek to generate a measurable social or environmental impact.” As a mission-driven company, Enerfip gives meaning to its activities by taking into account the social, societal, and environmental impacts of its actions. Our goal is to reconcile the pursuit of economic performance with contributing to the general interest.

How to access your Enerfip account?

To visit the Enerfip website and access your account, nothing could be simpler! Simply type Enerfip into the search engine installed on your computer. Once this step is complete, select the site corresponding to this URL: fr.enerfip.eu and discover our home page. From there, you can browse our site: discover our history, our projects, our team, our events... and, of course, open an account! To do this, two accesses are possible: either you click on the button in the center of the page "Open an account", or you go to the top right of the page on the user icon, then "Open an account". You will then be taken to a page that offers you either to log in or to register. In this guide to "Getting started with Enerfip", it is the second solution that interests us.

To create your account, select your email address and a secure password of at least 8 characters. Then, confirm that you have read and accepted the General Terms of Use (GTU) and authorize or not to receive notifications by email. Finally, click on the “Create my account” button, at the bottom right of your login details.

💡 Good to know

Once your email address is validated, you will receive a confirmation email in your inbox. Remember to validate it within 3 days before logging in again, otherwise it may not be possible. Check that this email has not been lost in your spam folder. If you have not received it, please contact our Investor Service at 04 11 93 41 11.

The registration process

Your account is created, you move on to the next phase!

Our registration process is organized into 6 main steps, themselves divided into levels. You will follow the following steps:

During these different stages, you will have to answer a few questions. Why? Collecting your data is part of the requirements of the European Crowdfunding Service Provider (PSFP)* approval that governs us. As a financial intermediary, Enerfip is required to obtain this information before providing you with a service, whether you are an existing customer or simply a potential customer. Of course, we have a duty of confidentiality regarding the information collected. In short, this allows us to get to know you and thus better meet your investment objectives.

You have successfully completed the first step! You will now see a page with a wealth of information. Take each of these into account before moving on to the next step.

Welcome!

Please specify whether you are a natural or legal person, or whether you are opening an account for a minor.

• Natural person: In France, this is an individual with legal personality. You must be an adult (except in the case of emancipation before reaching the age of majority) and not be partially or totally incapacitated (guardianship or curatorship). Otherwise, you are represented by a legal guardian.
• Legal person: In France, this is a group with legal personality. It is made up of natural persons sharing a common objective or a single entity, which may also include legal entities.

Let's get to know each other

If you're on a computer, on the left, you'll find your registration progress tracker. Below, there's a space to add your referral code if you have one.

On the right, you'll find the person in charge of your file. This is followed by a series of questions about your identity (first name, country of tax residence, postal code of tax residence).

Qualification

Investment Expertise

This second level allows us to complete your regulatory file, and thus, verify your identity. To do this, we offer you a questionnaire answering specific points on your investment expertise.

Depending on your answers and in accordance with regulations, you are categorized as a “Non-sophisticated Profile” or “Sophisticated Profile”. Our ultimate goal is always to provide better support for your investment projects.

Investor File

This phase aims to assess your financial skills, with an emphasis on crowdfunding. To this end, we offer a questionnaire that addresses specific aspects such as your investment objectives, your financial expertise, your knowledge of risks, etc.

All your answers are declarative and may be corrected. Furthermore, this confidential data is under no circumstances transmitted to a third-party administrative, public, or private organization.

Your objectives

This phase aims to assess your financial skills, with an emphasis on crowdfunding. To this end, we offer a questionnaire that addresses specific aspects such as your investment objectives and your expertise.

Some questions fall within a regulatory framework. Imposed by the AMF (Autorité des Marchés Financiers), they allow us to access information that will, of course, remain strictly confidential.

💡 Good to know

Made mandatory by the European ESMA-PSFP Regulation for investing in a crowdfunding project, the wealth simulator collects data that will remain strictly confidential. To complete it, no supporting documents are required, and the information recorded can be corrected at any time.

Results

The final step of the “Investor File” level, the results page summarizes your assets and reminds you that investing involves risks. To move on to the next phase, you must certify that you have read the warning notified by the Enerfip simulator regarding your ability to withstand losses.

Identity

This step allows you to complete the initial information provided in the “Welcome” step.

Confirm my identity

• For a natural person: First, you must fill in your title, your first and last name, your date of birth, as well as the city, department and country where you were born and your nationality. Second, you must fill in your address (street, additional address, city and postal code). Third, you validate your information and move on to the next phase, namely attaching two valid identity documents (all 4 corners must be visible, all characters legible and the photo recognizable).
  • First piece of identification:
    • your valid identity card (front and back);
    • your valid passport;
    • your valid residence permit.

• For a legal entity: as you might expect, the registration process is adapted for legal entities. We need:
  • a K-Bis of less than 3 years old
  • the complete and signed articles of association
  • the front and back of the valid identity card (CNI) or passport of all beneficial owners holding more than 25% of the company
  • the list of beneficial owners. For this point, you can download it free of charge from the infogreffe.fr website.

💡 Good to know

If you plan to subscribe to a geographically restricted investment, you will need to provide us with proof of address for all partners.

Why do we collect this information?

This data is part of the KYC (Know Your Customer) procedure to verify the identity of our customers in accordance with current legal requirements and regulations. Furthermore, as explained by the Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority of the Banque de France: “the financial sector is exposed to the risk of money laundering and terrorist financing. As such, it is subject to provisions relating to the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing (AML/CFT).” This information therefore provides proof of the veracity of your identity and does not indicate identity theft.

Residences

The penultimate step in the registration process, the “Residences” level, like the previous information, is part of the KYC (Know Your Customer) procedure.

Tax Residence

Providing your tax address is mandatory. Why? Because Enerfip is a paying establishment, which means that we collect taxes at source from your investment returns and declare them to the Tax Center. This allows you, when the time comes, to receive your pre-filled tax notice and only have to check it. A great time saver for you, isn't it? Also note that we provide you with a Single Tax Form (IFU) to verify the information declared to the Tax Center.

Conditions and Commitments

You are about to finalize your registration. This is the final step of the process, you are nearing the goal!

Finally, we suggest a little reading. What kind? A little formal, but necessary, we ask that you carefully read the Investor Agreement and familiarize yourself with the General Terms and Conditions of Use of our secure payment partner Lemon Way.

Who is Lemon Way?

Lemonway is a pan-European payment institution that offers a solution dedicated to marketplaces and crowdfunding platforms looking for a payment processing and collection system on behalf of third parties in a secure and regulated framework (KYC, anti-fraud).

Complete Application

You're done! Congratulations, your account is created. On this page, you will find a summary of the various steps taken, namely that your account has been created, your profile is completed and your identity documents are completed.

Once your identity has been approved by Enerfip, you will be able to pay for your subscriptions.

At the same time, a confirmation email will be sent to you to confirm the approval of your account.

Proof of address

Even if proof of address (income tax notice, housing tax, property tax, energy supplier bill, telephone or ADSL bill, accommodation certificate, property certificate or vehicle registration document) is optional, it is worth providing it to us to access investments that are reserved for certain geographical areas such as municipalities, regions, departments, etc.

If you have properties in other departments under the investor's first and last name, please also send us proof of address. Why? This allows you to invest in a project with a territorial criterion, even if it is not located in the department of your tax address.

Example: Mr. Dupont is a tax resident in Hérault (34), but he also has a property in Gironde (33). He can provide us with proof of address for his property in 33 to invest in geographically limited projects.

Bank details

To finalize your registration, the last step is to enter your bank details on your Enerfip account. How? Go to your settings and, more specifically, your “Bank Accounts” area. You will find a form to enter your bank account details.

💡 Good to know

The sender of the transfer must be the same as the person receiving the funds. What does that mean? The name on your personal or joint current account must match the name on your identity documents.

Why enter your bank details?

They are required when you want to withdraw money from your Enerfip account. Under no circumstances does this constitute authorization to withdraw money from your bank account.

Sponsorship

For each new registrant on enerfip.fr, you can take advantage of the sponsorship offer.

How? You can find your referral code in the “Referral” section of your account and share it with those around you. Once you have entered your code when registering your referral, each of you will receive a €15 bonus in your account.

💡 Good to know

If your referral invests in one or more fundraising campaigns in the 6 weeks following their registration, you will both receive 1% of all subscriptions signed and paid by your referral.
