Proof of address: which documents are accepted?

In order to validate your application and meet regulatory identification requirements, you will be asked to provide proof of address. This document confirms your current residential address and must be recent, legible and comply with the criteria set out below.

  • An electricity bill less than 3 months old in your name.
  • A gas bill less than 3 months old in your name.
  • A water bill less than 3 months old in your name.
  • A landline telephone bill less than 3 months old in your name.
  • A mobile phone bill dated within the last 3 months in your first and last name.
  • Your latest tax notice, property tax, council tax or a certificate of non-taxation in your first and last name.
  • A certificate of home insurance (fire, rental risks or civil liability) in your first and last name (valid).
  • A title deed less than one year old or a rent receipt/rent due notice less than 3 months old (not handwritten and not issued by a private individual) in your name and surname.
  • If you are staying with a relative, a certificate of accommodation accompanied by the identity document of the person hosting you and proof of residence in that person's name and surname. Written by the person hosting you, this letter must certify that you have been living with them for more than 3 months and be dated and signed within the last 3 months.
