What is the difference between a pending subscription and an ongoing investment?

If you navigate through your personal space, you may have already come across two distinct concepts in the "Investments" section of your portfolio: the pending subscription and the ongoing investment. But what sets them apart? Here is everything you need to know.

Pending subscription: what does it mean?

A pending subscription refers to a project that has not yet been legally closed.

The different statuses of a pending subscription

  • To be signed: you still need to sign the subscription form.
  • To be paid: you still need to complete your payment.
  • Validated: you have signed and paid.

Need an example to illustrate what a pending subscription looks like?

  • You may still need to sign the subscription form or complete the payment.
  • A subscription can be shown as "pending" for as long as the fundraising round has not been legally closed, even if you have already signed and paid on your end.

Ongoing investment: what does it mean?

Now that we have clarified what a pending subscription is, what is an ongoing investment? It refers to a fundraising round that has been legally closed, for which the subscription certificate and the amortisation schedule have been issued and are available in your savings account. From that point onwards, interest starts accruing.
