What is green hydrogen?

Like a rainbow, hydrogen comes in a wide range of colors: gray, pink, black, blue… Each color, with varying degrees of cleanliness, defines a production method.

  • Black hydrogen: This emits the most CO2, as it is produced from coal.
  • Gray hydrogen: Probably the best known and the cheapest to produce, it is produced through steam reforming of the gas.
