What is an electronic money institution?

An electronic money institution is a company or any other legal entity authorized to issue means of payment in the form of electronic money and whose activities are limited to issuing electronic money, making electronic money available to the public, and managing electronic money. Currently, the electronic money institution that manages the ENERFIP savings accounts of a Lender is Lemonway, an institution authorized by the ACPR (French Prudential Control and Resolution Authority) under number 16568 since 2012.
